Dave’s Wine Bar, located in St James Passage, has been named a finalist in the 'Toast the City' awards. The establishment, which opened in December 2023, was founded by David Howden, CEO of Howden Insurance, and reflects his interest in hospitality, food, and wine.
A key aspect of Dave's Wine Bar is its focus on sustainable farming, with a significant portion of its produce supplied by Howden's own Cornbury House Farm. General manager Alessandra Facciolo describes the venue as a "bar where wine is at the centre, but it isn’t intimidating."
The bar aims to offer a space for discovery, catering to both wine connoisseurs and those with limited knowledge. It serves a clientele primarily from the finance and law sectors, offering a relaxed atmosphere for business lunches or after-work drinks.
