A whopping 100+ items from the iconic musician's personal collection are set to embark on a six-city tour across the UK, giving fans an unparalleled glimpse into his creative world. The 'David Bowie: On Tour' extravaganza promises to bring the magic of this musical legend to new heights as it makes its way through some of Britain's most beloved venues.
Fans are in for a treat as they get up close and personal with over 90,000 items from the David Bowie Centre at V&A East Storehouse in London. From legendary costumes to career-spanning photographs, this is your chance to witness the artistic process behind the man who redefined music, fashion, and art. Get ready for Polaroids used for make-up and costume fittings, a Ziggy Stardust-era acoustic guitar, unrealised projects, and handwritten lyrics – some of which have never been seen before!
The exhibition is structured into four thematic sections: 'Bowie Through A Lens' taking you on a journey through his photography; 'All The Somebody People' delving into live performances and studio sessions; 'Hooked To The Silver Screen' exploring music videos and screen work; and 'I Can't Give Everything Away', a poignant look at his later creative period. Buckle up as you witness the evolution of Bowie's artistic genius.
The tour kicks off in November 2026 at V&A Dundee, followed by stops in Blackpool (June to September 2027), County Durham (October 2027 to January 2028), Hull (February to May 2028), and finally, Bristol (June to September 2028). With more venues set to be announced soon, you can expect this phenomenon to reach every corner of the nation.
