Debian has announced that its contributors are now permitted to use artificial intelligence (AI) in their coding efforts. The decision, made through a vote, specifies that while AI use is allowed, the quality of the code produced remains a mandatory requirement.
Contributors have the option to disclose their use of AI, but it is not a compulsory step.
