Debian has made a decision to permit its contributors to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools for coding. The vote allows for the integration of AI into the development process.
While the use of AI is now allowed, contributors have the option to disclose whether they have used such tools. A key condition of this new policy is that code quality remains mandatory.
