Debian has approved a measure allowing its contributors to use artificial intelligence (AI) in their coding processes. The decision stipulates that while AI tools can be utilised, the disclosure of their use by contributors is optional.
Despite the flexibility regarding disclosure, the quality of the code produced remains a mandatory requirement for all contributions.
