Contributors to the Debian project, which develops a free operating system, have voted to allow the use of artificial intelligence in their coding work. The decision stipulates that while AI tools can be utilised, the quality of the code produced remains a mandatory requirement.
The new policy also states that contributors are not obliged to disclose when they have used AI in their coding process.
