Denise Welch has been tipped out of the jungle after reportedly pulling out of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! All-Stars due to fears of explosive on-screen confrontations. The Loose Women stalwart had been pursued by producers for years, but it seems the prospect of clashing with fellow contestants was too much to bear.
The drama that unfolded in last year's all-stars series still has ITV insiders talking. Adam Thomas and Jimmy Bullard's blazing row during a trial – which saw them accused of not pulling their weight – left viewers on the edge of their seats, and it's said Welch didn't want to put herself through similar stress.
Rumour has it that Welch had been in talks with the show team for months, having previously turned down previous invites. But her reservations about potential on-screen conflict proved too great, and she's now out of the running for a coveted spot in the jungle.
The infamous showdown between Thomas and Bullard still dominates conversation among I'm a Celebrity fans. The pair's acrimonious argument – which spilled over into the series finale – left Ant and Dec visibly shaken, and it seems Welch didn't want to be anywhere near that level of tension.
With ITV yet to confirm its all-stars line-up for this year's series, there's still a chance Welch could change her mind. But for now, it looks like the jungle door is firmly shut on the Loose Women legend.
