Tragedy struck Doncaster on Wednesday evening when 57-year-old Wayne Soloman was stabbed in Galsworthy Close, leaving him seriously injured before he ultimately succumbed to his injuries in hospital. In a significant development, South Yorkshire Police have confirmed the arrest of three more individuals in connection with this fatal stabbing.
The latest arrests, made on Friday, comprise two men aged 52 and 24, as well as a 45-year-old woman. All three are currently being held on suspicion of assisting an offender and remain in police custody while investigations continue. This news follows the earlier arrest of a 51-year-old woman on Thursday, who has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
An initial arrest was made when a 46-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of murder, possession of an offensive weapon, dangerous driving, and robbery. However, police have subsequently released this individual with no further action, indicating that he is no longer considered part of this investigation.
