Donkervoort P24 RS Supercar Confirmed for UK with Right-Hand Drive

Dutch supercar manufacturer Donkervoort has announced its P24 RS model will be available in the UK, marking the first time the company has produced a right-hand drive vehicle. The extreme supercar, revealed earlier this year, is expected to launch in 2028.

  • Donkervoort P24 RS will be sold in the UK, featuring right-hand drive for the first time.
  • The launch is anticipated for 2028, coinciding with Donkervoort's 50th anniversary.
  • Powered by a Ford-sourced 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6, offering adjustable power outputs up to 600hp.
  • Only 150 examples of the P24 RS are planned, with 30 designated for right-hand drive markets.

The Dutch supercar maker Donkervoort is set to bring a dose of extreme performance to Britain's roads with confirmation it will offer a right-hand drive version of its latest creation, the P24 RS. This marks a significant shift for the family-owned company, which has traditionally built left-hand drive vehicles.

Donkervoort, founded by Denis Donkervoort, has maintained a strong British engineering influence since its early days constructing Lotus Seven-style kit cars. Managing Director Denis Donkervoort said that while the company moved into supercar territory with the D8 GTO in 2011, it never lost sight of its UK-inspired designs and engineering philosophies.

The P24 RS is a departure from previous models, which often used Audi engines, including the 2.5-litre five-cylinder found in the outgoing F22. With Audi ceasing production of this unit, Donkervoort has turned to Ford, adopting a 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 engine and bespoke turbochargers from Dutch Formula 1 specialist Van der Lee.

The result is a potent powerplant offering drivers flexibility: choose between 400, 500 or the full 600hp, alongside 590lb ft of torque, depending on driving conditions. With a dry weight of just 780kg thanks to extensive carbon fibre construction, the P24 RS promises explosive performance.

Key stats include a 0-124mph time of just 7.4 seconds and a top speed of 186mph for the 600hp variant. Power is delivered via a five-speed manual gearbox with rev-matching function, managed by a Torsen limited-slip differential.

Only 150 examples of the P24 RS will be produced globally, with 30 earmarked for right-hand drive markets in Britain and Ireland. Donkervoort has already appointed Premier GT as its official UK distributor, and reports suggest several British customers have placed orders – a testament to the strong interest in this driver-focused machine.

Why this matters: For UK car enthusiasts, this marks a rare opportunity to acquire a highly exclusive, performance-focused supercar designed specifically for British roads. It also signifies a major shift for Donkervoort, expanding its global reach with a dedicated right-hand drive production.

What this means for you: What this means for you: If you are a car enthusiast with a significant budget, the Donkervoort P24 RS offers a unique opportunity to own a hand-built, high-performance vehicle tailored for UK driving, though its exclusivity means it will be a rare sight.
