Dwelly acquires 10 agencies in 2026, expanding property portfolio to 15,000

Property management firm Dwelly has completed 10 acquisitions in 2026, increasing its managed property portfolio to over 15,000. The company also secured $170m (£129m) in new funding to support further growth and AI investment.

  • Dwelly has completed 10 acquisitions during 2026, including London agency Paramount Properties.
  • The company now manages over 15,000 properties.
  • Dwelly secured $170m (£129m) in new funding from investors including EQT Growth and General Catalyst.

Dwelly has significantly expanded its lettings portfolio in 2026, completing 10 acquisitions and bringing its total managed properties to more than 15,000. The latest acquisition saw Dwelly acquire London sales and lettings agency Paramount Properties, adding 1,100 fully managed properties.

Other acquisitions this year include Goodwin, Lime Property, Albery Tyson, Elliot Oliver, Move, Eden Harper, AP Morgan, Settio and Shaws. The company has also secured $170m (£129m) in new funding from investors such as EQT Growth and General Catalyst, which it plans to use for further acquisitions and investment in AI.

Despite increasing regulation and rising operating costs in the private rented sector, Dwelly is investing heavily. The company's analysis suggests privately rented homes now account for 23.3% of combined owner-occupied and privately rented housing stock, up from 12.5% in 2000. In absolute terms, the number of privately rented homes has risen from 2.089 million to 5.030 million over the same period.

Sam Humphreys, head of M&A at Dwelly, stated that the industry is becoming "more professional, not less attractive." He added that landlords remaining in the sector would require more support as the regulatory environment becomes increasingly complex. Dwelly believes that technology, particularly its AI platform, can help professional letting agents manage compliance and administrative tasks, allowing staff to focus on advising landlords and supporting tenants.

Why this matters: Dwelly's significant investment and acquisition strategy suggests a belief that increased regulation in the private rented sector will drive demand for professional property management services, rather than deter investment.
