Christopher Colquhoun is joining the cast of EastEnders later this summer as Darnell Larson Jr, who is Denise Fox’s half-brother. He will be joined by Krysstina Frempong, playing Darnell’s daughter, Grace.
The BBC has indicated that the Fox-Truemans will be “left reeling when Kim makes a shocking discovery”, which brings to light a relative Denise was unaware of. Darnell’s arrival takes on a different significance when he learns of Denise’s cancer diagnosis and ongoing treatment.
Colquhoun, 56, has previously appeared in shows such as Casualty and Coronation Street. Frempong has featured in Too Much and Essex Girls. Executive producer Ben Wadey stated that the cast and crew are “excited to introduce viewers to new members of their extended family”.
Separately, a new family, The Hawkins, will also join the square this summer, including actors Jamie Bamber, Marian McLoughlin, and Patricia Potter.
