Norwegian midfielder Emilie Joramo, who Brighton signed on a free transfer at the end of June, has stated she feels ready to make an impact in the Women's Super League. Joramo had long set her sights on the league but held back from a move from Scandinavia until now.
The 24-year-old explained that it was important for her to find the right path and feel prepared both physically and mentally. Brighton had been tracking Joramo for some time, and she was aware of their interest. Encouraging conversations with Brighton's manager, Dario Vidosic, and positive meetings with the club as her contract with Hammarby concluded, solidified her decision.
Joramo described herself as a hardworking player who always gives 100% and wants to have the ball. She believes the WSL presents a significant step up, with faster play and higher intensity, offering a perfect environment for her to be challenged and develop her strengths.
Off the pitch, Joramo's girlfriend has moved to England with her, aiding her transition to life on the south coast. Her initial impressions of training under Vidosic have been positive, noting his tactical acumen. Joramo's immediate goal is to contribute as much as possible to the team and play regularly.
