England's rugby team has seen demand for tickets to the Nations Championship finals weekend at Twickenham fall behind that of South Africa and New Zealand. While tickets for matches involving the Springboks and All Blacks have sold out, England tickets were still available on Wednesday for £164.80.
The Nations Championship finals weekend, the culmination of the competition's first edition, will feature six rankings matches at Twickenham next month. These include two matches each on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Organisers report that approximately 60-65% of tickets for the finals weekend have been sold following a recent surge in interest. However, the higher demand for South Africa and New Zealand matches over England's at their home stadium has been noted.
England's last appearance at Twickenham resulted in a 42-21 defeat by Ireland. Meanwhile, England assistant coach Joe El-Abd is set to leave his position after next year's World Cup to join Clermont.
