Ezri Konsa, an Arsenal defender, and Alex Scott, a Bournemouth midfielder, have withdrawn from the England squad due to injuries ahead of their Nations League match against the Czech Republic. Both players started in England's 7-0 victory over Croatia on Saturday.
The pair have returned to their respective clubs for further assessment, and no replacements have been called up. These withdrawals follow a series of injury setbacks for England during the current international break, with five players initially pulling out.
Declan Rice, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo, and Tino Livramento were among the earlier absentees. Morgan Gibbs-White and James Garner were called up as replacements. Nico O’Reilly also joined the casualty list, with Rico Lewis taking his place in the squad.
Konsa's absence adds to Arsenal's injury concerns, which include hamstring issues for Christos Tzolis and Kai Havertz, as well as Rice's setback. Scott, who made his first senior start against Croatia, could reportedly face two months on the sidelines with a quad problem.
England's final match of the international break is against the Czech Republic at Wembley on Tuesday, 6 October.
