Spanning 560 acres, the park offers a mix of parkland, event spaces, and sports facilities – including the poignant London Blossom Garden and the family-friendly Tumbling Bay adventure playground.
Worden Park in Leyland, Lancashire, stands out as the only site outside London to have received Green Flag status every year since 1997. This historic estate features an 1850s hedge maze and a miniature model railway, appealing to families and nature enthusiasts alike.
Saltwell Park in Gateshead has earned its 'People's Park' title since opening in 1876, boasting 12 Grade 2-listed structures – including a classic bandstand and the gothic Saltwell Towers. Roundhay Park in Leeds ranks among Europe's largest urban parks, spanning over 700 acres and featuring a public golf course, sculpture trail, and wildlife park.
Telford Town Park in Shropshire is celebrated for its nature trails, cycling paths, and extensive family amenities – including free water play areas and paid high-ropes courses. Nottingham's Wollaton Hall and Deer Park offers the unique experience of walking among wild red and fallow deer, set within 500 acres.
