  • Enzo Fernández was absent from Chelsea's Carabao Cup squad against Luton.
  • Chelsea are reportedly seeking £120m for Fernández.
  • Manchester City are believed to be interested in Fernández and Iliman Ndiaye.

Enzo Fernández's absence from the Chelsea squad for their Carabao Cup match against Luton last night has intensified speculation regarding a potential transfer. Despite public assurances from his manager that the Argentinian midfielder would feature, Fernández was not selected.

This development has prompted further rumours that a move to Manchester City is imminent. Chelsea are reportedly holding out for a fee of £120m for the 25-year-old. Manchester City are also believed to be interested in securing the services of Iliman Ndiaye, who Everton value at £80m.

Elsewhere, Atlético Madrid are reportedly in negotiations with Arsenal over the sale of Julián Alvarez, who has missed training for two days. Atlético value the striker at £128m, with Gabriel Jesus potentially moving in the opposite direction.

Milan has accepted a £38m bid from Galatasaray for Rafael Leão, but Aston Villa remains hopeful of a season-long loan with an obligation to buy. Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott, after a loan spell at Aston Villa, could be heading to Italy with Napoli or Lazio.
