Actress Eva Green, best known for her role as Vesper Lynd in the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale, was hospitalized after a 'nasty accident' on the set of Netflix's popular series Wednesday. The incident occurred during production near Dublin, where the show is currently filming its third season.
Green joined the cast of Wednesday earlier this year, playing the role of Ophelia Frump, Wednesday Addams' aunt. The actress had previously expressed her excitement about bringing 'my own touch of cuckoo-ness' to the beloved Addams Family franchise.
The Sun reported that Green sustained a leg injury during filming and was taken to hospital for treatment. Although the incident was described as 'nasty', sources confirmed that Green is now recovering well and production on Wednesday has been halted temporarily while she recuperates.
Wednesday, which stars Jenna Ortega as the titular character, has been a huge success for Netflix since its release in 2022. The show's second season received mixed reviews from critics but remains one of the platform's most-watched original series.
