F1 to host 10 sprint races in 2027 calendar, with Portugal and Turkey returning

Formula One has announced its 2027 calendar, featuring an increase to 10 sprint races and the return of events in Portugal and Turkey.

Formula One has unveiled its 2027 calendar, confirming an expansion of sprint races to 10 events. This includes new sprint hosts such as Monaco and Bahrain, alongside the return of Grand Prix meetings in Portugal and Turkey.

The 2027 season will comprise 24 races, commencing in Bahrain on 14 March and concluding in Abu Dhabi on 12 December. The British Grand Prix at Silverstone is set for the weekend of 2-4 July.

Portugal's meeting in Portimão is scheduled for 20 June, marking its first appearance since 2021. The Istanbul circuit in Turkey will make its comeback on 3 October, having last hosted a race in 2021.

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali stated that the new calendar reflects the sport's growing global popularity. He believes it will showcase the world's greatest drivers battling on challenging tracks, supported by teams, manufacturers, and partners.
