The family of a student from High Wycombe who died after falling from a boat party in Portugal has vowed to get answers about his death. Julian Amaral, 23, fell overboard on 1 September, and his body was found by maritime police five days later in the water at the Port of Lisbon.

Mr Amaral, who was in Lisbon for two family weddings, was among 200 people at a white-themed party on the boat. His sister, Cassie Amaral, 29, told the BBC, "We want to get to the bottom of what happened to him and how it happened." She added, "No-one should go on a boat ride and show up dead six days later."

The family spent five days searching for Mr Amaral before his body was located. Cassie Amaral believed that mixed accounts given to the police may have delayed the start of their investigation. Relatives are now working to repatriate his body to the UK, supported by an online fundraiser that has raised over £20,000.
