Their spine-tingling a cappella rendition of 'Right Here, Right Now' was nothing short of mesmerising, seamlessly blending with Nirvana's classic 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'. As the crowd went wild, Cook himself took to the stage floor, proudly holding aloft a pride flag and the message 'Only love can conquer hate' – a powerful statement that resonated deeply. And just when you thought it was all over, he joined the choir for an explosive, pyro-filled version of 'Right Here, Right Now' that left everyone gasping in awe.
The Sunday line-up was just as epic, with actor and screenwriter Simon Pegg making a surprise appearance to get the party started. The 'Hot Fuzz' star took to the decks for an unforgettable DJ set, complete with a show-stopping backdrop featuring images of him surrounded by aliens, in outer space, and sporting some very familiar-looking iPhones. Earlier in the year, he'd joined forces with local activists for a 'Carnival Against Fascism' march, where he proudly held up his sign: 'More disco, less fascism'. This time around, it was all about spreading love and unity – and we couldn't ask for anything more.
With Big Beach Boutique 7 safely in the bag, Fatboy Slim is now gearing up to take on the world once again. After his recent 'Acid Ballroom' tour, he's still very much at the top of his game – a true icon who refuses to slow down.
