Fatboy Slim, also known as Norman Cook, headlined the Sunday night at Camp Bestival 2026, delivering a set that incorporated AI-animated figures into his performance. Images of Jimi Hendrix, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Robert De Niro, and Count Binface were projected on screen during his mash-up of tracks.
Cook opened his set dressed as a dancing carton of fish and chips, aligning with the festival's "seaside" fancy dress theme for the day. His performance, billed as "Fatboy Slim and Friends," featured a two-hour mix of house, rave, and big beat tracks, crafted from samples across modern pop culture.
Earlier in the day, The Beatles Dub Club and The Beat performed. DJ Fat Tony also played a warm-up set, inviting De La Soul to join him. De La Soul, performing as a duo after the 2023 loss of Trugoy the Dove, experienced a technical issue during their song "A Roller Skating Jam Named 'Saturdays'."
Cook's set included mash-ups such as "Right Here, Right Now" with Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," and "The Rockafeller Skank" with The Beatles' "Day Tripper" and The Rolling Stones' "Satisfaction." A disco-fied version of his song "Praise You" featured an on-screen marriage proposal.
