FedEx has ordered 2,000 electric trucks from the electric vehicle (EV) startup Harbinger, in a deal valued at $300 million. Harbinger, which is currently in production, has stated its intention to deliver all 2,000 vehicles by the close of next year.
This order represents Harbinger's largest bulk order to date. FedEx previously led a $160 million Series C funding round for Harbinger late last year and has already received 53 trucks from a prior order.
Harbinger, founded in 2022, primarily focuses on producing an electric medium-duty commercial truck chassis. The company is also reportedly considering an initial public offering (IPO).
