Sussex Police confirmed that a 67-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson and has since been bailed pending further inquiries. Images from the scene showed large flames and significant plumes of smoke.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews remained at the site on Monday to damp down hotspots. The service advised individuals whose vehicles were damaged to contact their parking operator directly. There were no reported casualties.
