Daulerio founded The Small Bow in 2018, a newsletter and podcast where he chronicles his recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. He aims to expand The Small Bow into a multiplatform media company offering guidance to people struggling with addictions.

He also works on an advice column for Slate and is writing two books, alongside his ongoing recovery commitments. Daulerio has bipolar disorder, for which he takes psychotropic medications including a mood stabilizer and an antipsychotic, and attends quarterly meetings with his psychiatrist.
