Tom Stoltman, a 32-year-old athlete from the Highlands, is set to become a Gladiator on the BBC show Gladiators. The three-time World's Strongest Man champion will join the cast for the fourth series, which is set to start filming in Sheffield next month.
Stoltman, who stands at 6ft 8in (203cm) tall, was the first Scot to win the World's Strongest Man title when he was crowned champion in 2021. He has since retained his title twice, in 2022 and 2024, and is still officially Britain's Strongest Man after winning the title for a fourth time in February.
However, a hand injury blighted his chances of being named 2026 World's Strongest Man, and he was knocked out in the qualifying heats. Despite this, Stoltman is excited to take on a new challenge and test his speed, strength, and endurance against contenders in the Gladiators arena.
In a statement, Stoltman said: 'This is a dream opportunity and I'm incredibly proud to become a Gladiator. I've spent my life pushing myself to see what I can achieve and joining this incredible show is the next challenge.'
The fourth series of Gladiators is set to return to BBC iPlayer and BBC One in 2027. Stoltman's Gladiator name has yet to be announced, but fans are eagerly awaiting the news.
