Four Canadians have been awarded the 2026 Chevening Scholarship, enabling them to undertake fully-funded master's degrees at leading universities in the United Kingdom. The recipients, from Ottawa and Victoria, include Amy Topshee, Eliza Yadov, Ana Maria Lleras, and Dae De Jarisco.

Chevening is the UK Government’s global scholarship programme, designed to support postgraduate students who demonstrate potential to become future leaders. The scholarships cover all necessary costs, including tuition, accommodation, travel, and living expenses, and provide access to academic, professional, and cultural experiences, as well as an alumni network.

For the third consecutive year, one of Canada’s Chevening scholarships is funded by Calgary-based energy company ATCO, with Dae De Jarisco receiving the Chevening-ATCO Scholarship. The Chevening-Briggs Scholarship, funded by British entrepreneur David Briggs, will support Eliza Yadov.

Applications for the 2027-28 Chevening Scholarships are currently open and will close on 6 October 2026.
