A reward of £7,500 has been offered to help locate Emmanuel Sakyi, a 31-year-old man convicted in his absence of causing the death of his infant daughter in a head-on collision. Sakyi was sentenced to 15 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of causing death by dangerous driving following the incident in Milton Keynes in December 2022. His seven-month-old daughter, Emmanuela, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
Crimestoppers, the independent charity, has put up the reward, describing the case as "appalling." Emmanuela's fourth birthday would have been on Thursday, highlighting the tragic loss. Beth Simpson, a regional manager for Crimestoppers, emphasised the severity of the case, stating that someone, somewhere, will have information regarding Sakyi's whereabouts.
During the trial, jurors heard that Sakyi was driving his grey Peugeot 508 significantly over the legal alcohol limit and on the wrong side of Bletcham Way for a considerable distance before colliding with a green Fiat 500. He reportedly fled the scene of the collision. His daughter, Emmanuela, had been sitting on her mother's lap in the passenger seat and died in hospital after the crash.
Police efforts to locate Sakyi have been ongoing. In July, a 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the search. She has since been released under investigation as police inquiries continue. Authorities have advised the public not to approach Sakyi if he is sighted, but instead to call 999 immediately.

Callers must request a reward code during their initial contact. Crimestoppers assures anonymity, stating they do not ask for personal details, aiming to provide a voice for those who might otherwise be reluctant to come forward to the police.
