Funerals have been held for two Palestinian teenagers, Omar al-Naasan and Khalil Abu Alia, who were shot dead this week. The incident occurred when settlers and soldiers entered a Palestinian village in the occupied West Bank.

The killings took place in the village of al-Mughayyir, south of Nablus, a region reportedly experiencing near-daily attacks by Jewish settlers. Mohammed Al-Naasan, Omar's father, told the BBC, "We expect that when our sons walk in the street, they are likely to return to you injured or killed."

Israel's military has stated that it fired on "instigators of a violent riot" and that the incident is currently under review. The United Nations reports that more than 80 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces or settlers in the territory since the beginning of the year.
