The highly anticipated heavyweight boxing match between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is confirmed to take place at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on December 11. Tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday.
Matchroom president Barry Hearn stated that the fight "belonged in the UK" and praised his son, promoter Eddie Hearn, for ensuring it happened domestically. The venue was decided after initial issues with an 11pm curfew at Wembley Stadium, with Madison Square Garden in New York considered as an alternative.
A section in Anthony Joshua's contract stipulated that the fight must occur in the UK. Principality Stadium emerged as a solution following negotiations.
