GB Bank has provided two financing facilities totalling £62 million for the acquisition and refinancing of residential, retail, and office properties across London. These transactions, arranged by SHC Capital for two property investment groups, involve investment and stretched senior funding.
The funding is secured against tenanted multi-asset portfolios that generate rental income. The properties are located in the West End and other London areas, including residential buildings, office spaces, and high street retail units.
Tony Tadros, director at SHC Capital, stated that the deal required careful structuring to deliver a blend of investment and stretched senior funding within a tight deadline. The finance is intended to improve income generation potential, support building upgrades, and contribute to area regeneration.
Pankaj Thukral, chief lending officer and deputy CEO at GB Bank, noted that these transactions bring the bank closer to £1 billion in lending. He also mentioned that GB Bank has an ongoing pipeline in excess of £100 million with SHC Capital and has ambitious plans for 2026 and 2027.
