Germany's construction sector continued to contract in August, but at a slower rate, according to a survey. The construction Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to 48.7, up from the previous month.
A reading below 50 indicates contraction, so the sector remains in decline, though the pace of downturn has moderated.
