Google has launched its latest folding smartphone, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which maintains a traditional phone shape when closed and an almost square form when open. This fourth-generation device is priced from £1,799, representing a £50 increase compared to its predecessor, attributed to ongoing price pressures.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is among the few folding phones to offer a full water and dust resistance rating, similar to standard non-folding smartphones. While its appearance is largely consistent with previous models, it is 19g lighter and slightly slimmer, featuring a larger outside screen.

Running on Android 17, the device integrates Google’s AI tools, including Gemini’s proactive system and a new voice dictation feature. It also comes with a six-month subscription to Google AI Pro. The phone is powered by the Google Tensor G6 chip with 16GB of RAM, supporting multitasking effectively.

The camera system includes a new 48MP main camera, a 10.5MP ultrawide camera, and a 10.8MP 5x telephoto lens, alongside two 10MP selfie cameras. Google states the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will receive operating system and security updates until August 2033.
