A flatshare in Hackney, London, reportedly experienced a significant rat infestation, with rodents entering the property through pipes. The rats were observed in the kitchen and other rooms, and gnawed through carpets in an attempt to access bedrooms.
One incident involved a pack of rats spending eight hours gnawing a hole through the bottom of a housemate's bedroom door. Following this, a rat reportedly died under the floorboards, leading to a bottle-fly infestation.
The residents also encountered mice, with one instance of a mouse crawling across a friend's bed and attempting to nestle near their neck. The individual reporting the events stated their landlord did not address the issues.
