Heathrow Airport has issued a warning that access to Terminals 2 and 3 is restricted due to flooding. Water in the central terminal area means that road travel to or from these terminals is not possible.
Passengers are being advised to use rail and tube services to reach the airport and to avoid travelling by car. Airport teams are working to resolve the situation, and an apology has been issued for any disruption caused.
This disruption comes during the school holidays, which is typically one of the busiest periods for Heathrow. The airport previously experienced disruption to railway services following a water leak that led to a tunnel closure.
