Hello Robot's Stretch 4, a home-assistance robot, is set to be demonstrated live at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026. Aaron Edsinger, CEO and co-founder of Hello Robot, will present the robot on the Real World AI Stage for a session titled “Come, Meet Stretch. The Robot Built for Real Life, Not a Demo Reel.”
The Stretch 4, which launched in May, is designed to assist individuals with severe mobility impairments with everyday tasks such as closing blinds, eating, and scratching an itch. Its first production run was already sold out by June.
Unlike many robots focused on humanoids, Stretch 4 is a compact robot on wheels with a single telescoping arm. It is designed to navigate human spaces and perform useful tasks, equipped with sensors, perception, and contact sensitivity to operate around people.
TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 is scheduled to take place from October 13–15 at Moscone West in San Francisco, with over 10,000 attendees expected.
