HM Land Registry completed 1,823,949 applications in August 2026, according to data released today. This represents a decrease from the 2,134,898 applications processed in July 2026, but an increase compared to 1,748,118 applications in August 2025.
Among the applications completed in August, 348,570 were for register updates, 989,677 were for official copies of a register, and 194,740 were search and hold queries. Transactions for value totalled 98,471, while 18,804 postal applications were from non-account holders.
The South East region recorded the highest number of regional applications, with 414,202 completed by HM Land Registry in August.
