Hortons, a self-employed estate agency platform, has launched an AI-powered search tool named Intelligent Search. This new function allows users to find properties, moving information, and details of local agents through a single search.
During a one-month beta period, users carried out more than 14,000 searches using Intelligent Search. This figure does not include searches made through the website’s conventional property search.
The tool uses relevance-based results and allows for broader search queries, such as "3-bedroom houses in [area]", rather than relying solely on postcode or area filters. Users can also search for specific villages or roads.
Adam Horton, founder of Hortons, stated that Intelligent Search aims to help agents become more efficient and to use AI to simplify the process for buyers and sellers. The company indicated that this search function is part of several AI projects it is currently developing.
