The jungle is calling, and the rumour mill is in overdrive! As we hurtle towards another cracking series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, whispers are swirling about the sensational line-up that will soon descend upon the Australian outback. ITV's flagship reality show is set to return for its 26th season, with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly once again at the helm, ready to guide their celebrity campmates through a minefield of trials, tribulations – and probably a few dodgy bushtucker meals.
The pressure's on for ITV to assemble an A-list cast that'll leave viewers on tenterhooks. The BBC's recent success with The Celebrity Traitors has set the bar high, and producers will be counting on a stellar roster of stars to generate the same buzz as past series, which have delivered more than their fair share of jaw-dropping moments – from blazing rows to unforgettable victories.
Ade Adepitan, the fearless Paralympian with a heart of gold, is one name that's been bandied about. The 53-year-old could make history by becoming the first contestant to roll into the jungle in a wheelchair, paving the way for greater inclusivity and reflecting ITV's commitment to showcasing talent from all walks of life. Discussions are reportedly underway to adapt camp facilities, ensuring Adepitan can join the likes of Hollie Arnold and Kadeena Cox in bringing their unique brand of glamour to the jungle.
But that's not all – Christopher Dean, one half of Olympic ice-skating duo Torvill & Dean, is said to be seeking a new challenge after Dancing on Ice went off the air last year. The 67-year-old's been long courted by I'm a Celebrity producers and may just take the plunge this time around. Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing favourite Nadiya Bychkova is another name that keeps popping up – although the 36-year-old has hinted at staying behind the scenes with her BBC show.
And then there's Su-Elise Nash from Mis-Teeq, bringing a welcome blast of Noughties nostalgia to the party. With a one-off reunion show planned for September, this timing could be perfect for a jungle adventure – or not? We'll have to wait and see! Other rumoured contestants include cricket legend Ben Stokes (35) after hanging up his bat, Diversity star Perri Kiely (30), who's previously turned down offers but might just take the leap if schedules permit.
Last but certainly not least, sources suggest that producers are mulling over one more high-profile name: cricketer-turned- Strictly Come Dancing star Ben Foden (37). Love him or hate him, his cheeky grin and rugged charm could add a certain je ne sais quoi to the mix – but only if he's willing to swap his dance shoes for some sturdy jungle boots!
