A full inquest has been scheduled for 13 November at the Old Municipal Buildings in Taunton for a 10-year-old boy who died in a coach crash. Oliver Price died on 17 July 2025 when a coach carrying pupils from Minehead Middle School left the road near Wheddon Cross in Somerset.
The coach, which was returning from a school trip to Exmoor Zoo, slid down a 6m (20ft) slope. Oliver was found in his seat with his seatbelt on and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The full inquest by Somerset Coroner's Service will investigate the events leading up to the crash, the circumstances of the coach leaving the road, and Oliver's medical cause of death. The court is expected to hear from Oliver's family, adult passengers, witnesses, the coach driver, emergency service workers, and a pathologist.
In total, 21 passengers were taken to hospital for treatment following the incident. Oliver's provisional cause of death was previously listed as a head injury, subject to further tests.
