Investors have withdrawn a total of £5.45 billion from UK equity funds throughout this year, according to figures from funds network Calastone. The exodus of capital saw an increase in August, with outflows rising from £315 million.
This movement suggests investors are shifting away from stocks, potentially to capitalise on soaring bond yields ahead of the upcoming Budget.
