The high-octane rendition at Radius was a real game-changer, with Robinson taking the lead vocals and allowing White to showcase his guitar wizardry alongside his talented touring band. This epic collaboration marked the first time either musician had played this iconic song live, adding an unforgettable moment to White's ongoing tour.
The impromptu performance was part of White's North American trek in support of his seventh solo album, 'Frozen Charlotte', which dropped on July 10 and is already turning heads. The setlist for the evening also featured other blues-infused covers, including Robert Johnson's 'Phonograph Blues', alongside fan-favourite White Stripes anthems like 'Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground', 'Icky Thump', and the unmistakable 'Seven Nation Army'. Material from 'Frozen Charlotte' took centre stage too, showcasing White's remarkable productivity – this is his fourth studio album in just five years!
'I'm A Mover' first appeared on Free's debut album, 'Tons Of Sobs', back in 1969. The British band, featuring the powerhouse vocals of Paul Rodgers and the scorching guitar work of Paul Kossoff, went on to achieve international stardom with their smash single 'All Right Now'. White's choice of song highlights his deep affection for classic rock and blues – a thread that runs through many of his diverse musical projects.
This special guest appearance follows another notable collaboration earlier in the tour, where White's talented daughter Scarlett joined him on bass for several tracks during the opening weekend in Brooklyn. A 19-year-old prodigy who's already shared the stage with her father at various venues, including New York's Irving Plaza in 2025 and Nashville's Third Man Records' Blue Room in 2023.
White's tour continues to electrify North America, with a hometown show in Clarkston, Michigan tonight – July 25. UK and Ireland fans can catch him next month at London's Eventim Apollo on August 25 and 26, with further dates lined up for Bristol, Newcastle, and Belfast, as well as two nights at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre before White heads back to North America for a string of shows throughout September, October, and November.
