Jack White's Third Man Records has revealed plans for a series of pop-up stores across the UK and Ireland. The label will take over five independent record shops between 28 August and 20 September.
The tour includes stops in Bristol, Newcastle, Belfast, Dublin, and Glasgow. Each pop-up will feature exclusive vinyl, limited edition merchandise, posters, and books. Also available will be a series of homemade "bootleg" editions of White's records, each with a hand-screen-printed sleeve, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Third Man Records stated that these "bootlegs" originate from the mysterious Frozen Charlatan character, featured on the cover of White's new album 'Frozen Charlotte'. This figure is said to have stolen records to distribute at the events.
The pop-ups are scheduled for Bristol (28 August at Friendly Records), Newcastle (29 August at Beatdown Records), Belfast (31 August at Hectic Records), Dublin (1-2 September at Tower Records), and Glasgow (18-20 September at Monorail Music).
With the exception of Glasgow, each pop-up event aligns with a date on White's upcoming UK and Ireland tour, which supports his seventh solo record, 'Frozen Charlotte'.
