Jackson-Stops has formalised its ties with the Lutyens Trust, a charitable organisation dedicated to preserving Sir Edwin Lutyens's architectural legacy. The estate agency's network of 40 offices across the UK, including a strong presence in central London, will now support the Trust's mission to protect and promote Britain's significant architectural heritage.
Jackson-Stops has been selling country houses since 1910 and frequently handles historic and Listed properties. This expertise makes them a natural partner for the Lutyens Trust, which was established in 1984 to safeguard Lutyens's extensive body of work.
The partnership is built on shared values, with both Jackson-Stops and the Trust appreciating the importance of architecturally significant homes. Recent sales facilitated by Jackson-Stops demonstrate this value: three properties designed by Lutyens in Devon and Surrey commanded guide prices ranging from £775,000 to £1.3 million.
Charles Hind, Chairman of the Lutyens Trust, welcomed Jackson-Stops as a corporate benefactor, praising their expertise in advising on historic houses. The Trust relies on memberships and donations to fund its daily operations, which include protecting Lutyens's works and promoting public appreciation for their cultural significance.
Nick Leeming, Chairman of Jackson-Stops, echoed the Trust's sentiments, describing Britain's architectural heritage as a national asset and recognising Lutyens's contribution to some of the nation's most beautiful homes and public structures. The agency is pleased to support the Trust's vital work, which underscores its own commitment to preserving significant properties.
