Jacob Elordi's rollercoaster ride as Nate Jacobs in Euphoria's third and final season was nothing short of brutal. The Australian actor took a beating - literally - during six gruelling weeks on set, where his character faced relentless physical punishment at the hands of a hulking giant.
Chatting with Jimmy Kimmel about the ordeal, Elordi revealed that show creator Sam Levinson had pushed him to the limits, subjecting Nate to weeks of unrelenting bashing. "It was like being trapped in some twisted nightmare," he confessed. "Six weeks of non-stop running and getting belted by a seven-foot giant - I was knackered."
The culmination of this intense period came in a heart-stopping, jaw-dropping finale that left fans stunned. Elordi's character met his maker in the most gruesome way possible: being buried alive in a coffin, complete with prosthetics and a fake tongue. Talk about method acting!
But what really took the biscuit was the live snakes that were introduced to the coffin during filming - including a docile boa constrictor that Elordi surprisingly grew fond of. "He had a lovely personality," he chuckled. "Really sleepy, but needed some encouragement to look menacing for the cameras."
Elordi's affection for the snake even led him to joke about it being like a little dog curled up at his feet. But despite the snake's friendly demeanour, Nate's ultimate demise was as deadly as they come - courtesy of a venomous rattlesnake bite after being buried alive.
For Elordi, who'd previously described the scene as a "cool way to go" but also "bittersweet", it marked a fitting end for a complex character whose mistakes had left fans divided.
