Jane Asher, the actor and former fiancée of Paul McCartney, has revealed she will not be watching the forthcoming Beatles biopics, which are set to feature her love story with the musician.
Asher, 80, stated in a new interview that she has no plans to see Lucy Boynton's portrayal of her in Sam Mendes's four films about the iconic band. She explained that she made a decision years ago not to discuss her relationship with McCartney, adding that if she watched the films, "everyone will ask me what I thought."
The Bafta nominee began dating McCartney in 1963, with their romance reportedly inspiring songs such as "And I Love Her." They were engaged in 1967 but ended their relationship a year later. The series, titled "The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event," is due for release in 2028.
