Dean, who regularly appeared on 'Fox & Friends', announced her departure in June, citing the physical toll of early morning shifts exacerbated by her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis. However, her recent posts suggest deeper issues beyond her health. The catalyst for her online revelations appeared to be a fan's comment about seeing former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Fox, to which Dean responded, 'Yup. Not surprised at all. Grateful I’m not there.'
A significant point of contention for Dean revolves around her outspoken criticism of Andrew Cuomo, whose Covid-era policies she has long blamed for contributing to the deaths of her in-laws. Dean claimed that after years of being encouraged to discuss this deeply personal topic, she was suddenly 'banned' from doing so. She also stated she was unable to post an article written by her husband, Sean Newman, about the former governor's policies, an incident she described as 'breaking her heart'.
In her X posts, Dean hinted at numerous untold stories from her time at the network, stating, 'I have many, many, many stories. Sometimes I can’t believe the stuff I’ve been through. But I’m free now.' She also responded to a fan's query about late radio host Don Imus, alleging that Imus 'used to have a loaded gun in the office and named the bullets after us'.
During her emotional farewell on 'Fox & Friends' in July, Dean reflected on her career, acknowledging she might have shared 'too much' on television. She also spoke candidly about the difficulties of maintaining a demanding schedule with a chronic illness, stating, 'Living with an illness, we don’t talk about this on TV, but getting up at 2:30 in the morning is a really tough thing, right? It's tough on your body. I did it for a long time, and I probably shouldn't have done it as long as I did.'
