Jeremy Clarkson will auction three cars featured in The Grand Tour series this November. Iconic Auctioneers stated that the reason for the sale is "set to become clear" in the upcoming season of Clarkson's Farm.
Clarkson, 66, commented that he rarely gets the chance to drive or enjoy these "very special and quite famous cars," suggesting it is "probably for the best if they end up with someone who can."
The collection includes a 1982 Lancia Montecarlo Spider, which was the last car Clarkson drove on The Grand Tour in the ‘One for the Road’ episode. This car was specially modified for the show with Ferrari 308 rear lights, quad tailpipes, Lancia Delta Integrale wheels, and a racing steering wheel. Clarkson purchased the car after filming, and it currently "starts, runs and drives well."
Also being auctioned is a 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6, used by Clarkson in the inaugural 2019 Grand Tour episode ‘Well Aged Scotch’ for driving around Scotland’s North Coast 500. It has covered 28,315 miles and has been maintained "in-house." The third car is a 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V from the ‘Lochdown’ episode, which features a 6.6-litre engine, nitrous injection, and a Cartier clock.
These three vehicles will be part of ‘The Iconic Sale’ at the NEC Classic Motor Show on November 14.
