Johnny Marr has unveiled his new single, 'It's Time', which he describes as taking on "assholes with dodgy views". This track offers another preview of his fifth solo album, 'The Age Of Everything'.
The album, which will follow his 2022 release 'Fever Dreams Pts 1–4', is scheduled to be released on October 2. Marr has previously shared 'Spin' and 'Ophelia' from the upcoming record.
Marr explained that 'It's Time' is his "way of singing about some worldly issues but finding defiance in idealism." He added that the lyrics are about "resisting cynicism and corruption." The music video for the single was filmed at his sold-out homecoming concert at Manchester's Castlefield Bowl earlier this year.
