Keir Starmer has stepped down as the Member of Parliament for Holborn and St Pancras. His decision has initiated a by-election in the constituency, which Labour has held for 43 years.

Labour has begun the search for its candidate, with the selection process expected to conclude by next Wednesday. The Green Party leader, Zack Polanski, is anticipated to contest the seat. Labour's internal briefing suggests the by-election could become a direct contest between Labour and the Greens.
