Armadin, the latest venture from Mandiant founder Kevin Mandia, has announced a $255.5 million Series B funding round. This investment values the cybersecurity startup at over $2.5 billion.
The funding round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel, with participation from several other firms including Bain Capital Ventures, Google Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins. This follows a $190 million Series A round in March, bringing Armadin's total funding to more than $445 million.
Armadin aims to redefine enterprise security for the AI era. Instead of traditional penetration tests, the company employs 'always-on agentic swarms' that chain together vulnerabilities to identify weaknesses. This approach is designed to help organisations find and address security flaws before malicious actors, or even rogue AI agents, can exploit them.
